It’s childhood cancer awareness month and @JoelleWillWin challenged me to dance without my feet in support of Hazel (see @VeeCrow).
.
I decided to try this seated as Hazel has frail ankles and I thought this would be a great way to show how much one can do without putting weight on your feet. It's my first try at a seated freestyle!
.
Hazel was diagnosed with cancer in 2017, when she was just 4 years old and has been fighting ever since. Because of the high dose of chemotherapy that she has received, Hazel now has AVN which occurs when there isn’t enough blood flow to your bones and they start to disintegrate. This is a rare and terrible side of her chemotherapy treatments.
.
In July of 2019, Hazel was heartbroken when she was told she can no longer dance using her feet, as dancing with her family is what kept Hazel going on her hardest days. Despite Hazel being taken off that portion of her chemotherapy—her ankles are simply too frail—and irreversible damage has already been done. Hazel is scheduled to continue her treatment until 2020.
.
We invite you to accept Hazel’s Challenge, and share how YOU dance without moving your feet! Post the video to your Instagram page, tag 3 of your friends and invite them to accept Hazel’s challenge as well. Once you have been tagged, you have 24 hours to complete the challenge. Be sure to use the hashtags
#danceforhazel #fivenation, copy the caption, and follow @veecrow if you would like to keep up with Hazel on her journey. There’s no limit to what we can do TOGETHER!
.
I challenge @I_Imaginamatrix @sophiesantella and @avika.kimberly to

I miss you Joelle and can't wait to do another collab with you!
