When I heard this for the first time, I divorced my wife, sold all my possessions, took all my money and bought 3 things, a bass, an amp, and a trailer. I have been living thusly, in the deep of the most forgotten woods, naked, playing funk bass non stop, 24/7, for the past 7 years. I emerge only now, once, to post this singular message, before I return to the bass. I regret nothing. *Nothing*.

I'm a drummer and I immediately noticed that the layer drum beat parts shared by the two drummers here is replicable by one single drummer. That said, their choice of sharing the work load thus securing a consistent quality of the parts , for example the bass drum foot might have slight frequency inconsistencies if played by one drummer but here the guy plays it with his lead right hand which is the hand most practiced by most drummers. Also, the choice showed a care and personal investment in the final production as two drummers sharing a one drummer part is always going to sound better by virtue of keen attention to specific parts. The real skill here then though is the cohesion both drummers have with each other. Infact and honestly speaking the two together have better cohesion than my four limbs do together despite my limbs reporting only to one mind, mine! Music isn't always what you hear. It's the invention, the choices, the values and many more deeper aspects of the performers in question. The band are killer but I wanted to talk about the drum part for this thread

0:52 Brother on the keys knew exactly what kind of dump trunk of stank they were about to drop. Holy shit that was insanely well played thank you!

This was my very first Vulfpeck experience. I discovered them a few years ago, only because I was a fan of Wintergatan and had heard Martin talking about them back when he was starting on the MMX. Eventually I cracked and just searched âVulfpeckâ and clicked on the top result. Now here I am three years later and these guys have not once ceased to be my favorite band!
