I lived in a SMALLER than this apartment in Boston for 7 years. NO separate bedroom, so a friend built a loft for my mattress. A tiny separate kitchen not one you could eat in. A bathroom without a shower(that was fun). Sooooooooo small, a friend once said: It’s so small, you have to go out in the hall to change your mind! Oh, yeah, and &135.00 a month. (early 70’s)

Warm and cozy space that seems personal. Reminds me of an old studio I lived in Sutton Place on E. 54th. You seem like an art history major, if your art was personally selected. The exposed brick is about as warm and old school NYC as you can get, along with the parquet floors. Love it! Seriously. So warm and real, which is so uncommon today.

What I really like is that you actually have a decent sized wardrobe. In so many of the NYC apartment tours, people only have six pairs of shoes, two coats, tops and pants, the same as if they were living in those ridiculously small tiny homes. I enjoy dressing up whenever I leave the house so I have a lot of clothes, shoes, and purses. I live alone in a 930 sq ft 2 bedroom house. Anything smaller would make me feel claustrophobic. You have performed a miracle in making your space feel airy despite its size.

I enjoy watching these videos of young women showing their apartments, it reminds me of when I was young living in small apartments, my life still before me and exciting, not knowing what was ahead. Now, at my age, having raised 2 special needs grandkids, living on 4 acres with a pond in the south, you just never know what the future holds, but life is always exciting and you just have to see how it turns out. God has led me to where I am now.
