We always hear about bands such as Iron Butterfly, Blue Cheer, Steppenwolf, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, being progenitors of Metal and heavy music in general, I've always thought Paul Revere and the Raiders deserve a whole lot more credit than they have ever received.
