Back during Aoe4 development I signed up for and was accepted into the alpha (someone already in it invited me to fill out a form). But the next day I was removed from their Discord and banned from the insider's program. (It's quite annoying, as I have to clear my browser cache every time I update a mod on their website, since I get a popup asking me to accept an NDA that I cannot accept because I'm banned from the insider's program).
I have no idea what caused the ban, and honestly I find it pretty funny since I'm friends with a variety of people on the dev team and often DM them about various topics, even when I have content that is critical of the them. Just know that being banned from the insider's program definitely is a thing, and you're not alone in having it done to you.

As you already know, I was pretty upset with how this first expansion was handled from a historical accuracy perspective and from a civilization consistency perspective, I haven't played AOE4 since the expansions release, but still followed your content because you are a great content creator. This situation just frustrates me further since I feel like everything I loved about AOE (from the history, to the awesome content creators) just continues to be mishandled. I still look forward to your videos on both channels, but that's probably the nail on the coffin for AOE for me until they get a management change. It sucks because the game really was my childhood. But there are far too many games to play nowadays to let one franchise ruin your mental health that doesn't care about you. I hope everything goes well for you and you continue to make great content about games you are passionate about. And know we are all here with you.

I hope you will be able to share your thoughts about games in this franchise without repercusions in the future. I appreciated your video yesterday and understand your decision to take it down. As helpful as it is to have a video describing who a game is made for in an honest way, I wouldn't take a legal bullet for it. I was kicked out of the Age Franchise Partners program. I do not have access to anything internally like other creators now, so I will no longer be able to cover any new releases for AoE4 or AoE2 for you folks.
