The F16 which was downed by Abhinandan , the pilot ejected. The irony is the F16's parachute that Bhikharistaan had, it was of saffron colour & when the Pilot Landed, the burbak Bhikharistani men on the ground though him to be Indian pilot & was beaten to death. That created the confusion & thats why the F16 downed pilot was never found. Its quite obvious that Bhikharistaan and US would never acknowledge that a 3rd Gen MiG 21 had downed a 4th Gen F16. That would be a very bad news for the F16 sales worldwide

Pakistani twitter accounts put up videos from Bhimber Gali area showing multiple chutes (3 if I remember correctly) on that very day. One chute belonged to Wg Cdr Abhinandan. Another chute was orange / saffron in colour. The Pakistani public thought it belonged to an Indian pilot, and they beat him to death. Ghafoor had stated on that day that the second Indian pilot had been admitted to CMH. Chap succumbed to injuries, and his front-seater was awarded a medal for claiming to have shot down a Su-30MKI.

Tom Cooper,Austrian Journalist in an facebook post said Master Sgt. Kyle Wilson,an Airman with US Air Force was stationed at Shahbaz Airbase Pakistan serving as the Technical Security Team in 2019. He was instrumental in collecting the F16 wreckage on time, that was shot down by Abhinandan sir . Later wilson was awarded for this .Allegedly Tom Cooper had confirmation of the F-16 going down from atleast 4 pilots within PAF.
