Hi great video, can't wait to try! Question: is it possible to overcook the bones? Your video says boil for 9 hours, but let's say I cooked to 15 hours, will the soup be better or will it be spoiled instead?

In France butchers usually throw them so I get them for free to make broth, which makes your recipe free food here. Thank you for the video it was really tasty

My first encounter with bone broth was tteok-guk. I was getting out of school sick at the time and I asked my dad for soup before going home, so we stopped by a local Korean restaurant. The lady there told me that their tteok-guk had broth made of beef bones, "it's full of nutrients and you'll feel better!" It was a nasty infection of some kind so I did get a little worse. But her soup was simple yet comforting with the chewy tteok, and I never forgot her words. Since then I've always wanted to try a legit bone broth soup again. I must admit though, Maangchi's broth looks richer and thicker. I can imagine the healing power coming from that soup 😋😋

Good morning! It's nice Saturday morning here in New York City! Thank you so much for your nice comments and messages here. How can I not love you guys! ; ) Anyway I just finished English and Korean captions. (한국어자막 올렸어요!) If you need it, check it out, please. Making captions takes a long time for me just like making bone broth! lol!

I love it when you include ways of storing these broths and dumplings long-term. It's so helpful to be able to have the more complicated and time-consuming recipes at the ready. For disabled folks waiting for a good day to tackle a long-process recipe, we can make a big batch at once and store it up. Thank you so much, Maangchi!

I just made this the other week using one of your books! It was divine! It's amazing to me how when I'm not feeling well Korean food seems to help me out - from the probiotic kimchi you taught me how to make to this soothing broth. Thank you, Maangchi. Your food has helped me so much more than you could ever know.

One of my favorite channels. Kindness, efficiency, technique, humor. A reference. Every time I just regret not having access to all the korean products I discover with Maangchi.

“A lady washing bones, Scary”. 😂😂😂 I love that you have comedy with your recipes. I made a bone broth and I used the broth and fat to mix with a little meat to make soup dumplings. Turned out really delicious. My friend is a chef, and she taught me.

Nice video to get people interested in making natural broths. Normally people will just discard bones the exact same way they throw away the shells from all the shellfish instead of using it and making something out of it. Keep up the good videos👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Maangchi, most of the time I don't make your recipes, I just watch and listen to you because you're both so knowledgeable and so comforting. Thank you for giving us all your recipes and for being you <3

I really love watching these types of videos, they're so educational! One thing I noticed about Korean cuisine is that they really use everything with such little waste while still making it look and taste amazing. It's really cool! Normally, I would've just thrown the bones away and not thought twice about it.
