Summary: 1 in 4 Americans thinks NASA's budget should be reduced. I feel this stems from misunderstandings like how much NASA actually gets in the first place. I tried to shed some light on some of the work NASA does from my personal experience to make a case for why NASA is one of the best investments we make with our tax dollars.

By popular demand I have shirts now! I picked the super soft, high quality shirts and make $0 on all items which is why they are priced so handsomely :)

It's awful how some of the most important professions are the ones who get the least amount of support. We should be funding scientists, not hindering them.

The biggest issue I have with people saying "why are we funding NASA when we still have issues with homelessness etc..." is that they have no intention of funding solutions to those issues. They just want to defund nasa

3:54 So yeah that definitely happened I did not know they planned it so long ago. When I was first watching this video I was like there's no way that could work.

The first Mark rober video I saw was about his day job at NASA. I was eleven years old. It inspired me. I’m 17 now. I have a job at a tech startup based in Portland, Oregon. Dear mark: thank you for what you do.

So happy to find this video as I have had mixed feelings about space exploration for a long time. Just discovered the channel and i’m glad I did πŸ‘πŸ»

As a fellow NASA engineer (KSC), kudos to you for this video, Mark. I'm sharing this on social media, as it's one of the most polished yet succinct justifications for the agency.

Can you do this again 😭 With the technology of SMAP opening like a origami and seeing it in JWST, the DART project and all the things that has happened really excites me about NASA and Space exploration. And nothing beats you explaining about space and science!

Its cool how in my reading class we are writing an essay about is space exploration worth it? This actually helps!

I am not even American and it pisses me to hear from Americans "blablabla we should not spend money on nasa".. I wish MY country spent that money on knowledge and scientific research. People are so badly used to the idea that something is only worth if it means visible money in return...

Great video. Unrelated note, when he said "The first person to set foot on Mars...". It reminds of Eren says that the first person to see the sea will be the "freest" person alive to convince himself to transform and fight Annie.
