Thank you Roman and Andre! I must say that I subscribe to all TFL channels (with the exception of Bike), and the segments I love most are Off-Road and whenever there's an Andre's Garage segment. I love hearing what the future may bring for the auto industry. I don't really concern myself with the politics of EVs. There is one deal breaker for an EV truck for me though. And that is off-road. When Alex took that Rivian over Razor rocks, that demonstrated it perfectly. The throttle response. The truck just sat there and didn't spin the tires. That is a major concern for me as far as buying an EV truck. When I need it to go through mud or snow, I need the confidence that it is going to work. I don't need it leaving me stranded (like the Hummer truck almost did to Roman in Moab). In an ICE truck, that's tried and true technology. You may have to turn off the traction control to get wheel spin, but you know when that engine is revving, it's putting power to the tires. For that reason alone, I won't even consider it. To a lesser extent, I like hearing the song of an engine as I accelerate. The feedback is nice. And yes Roman, I do agree that truck prices have gotten outrageous. I understand there is just more stuff in a truck now, and that contributes directly to the price. But I think most people's wages have not kept pace with these trucks prices. I think that is why you're seeing so much pushback on these high prices. In a very short amount of time (less than a decade), the prices of trucks has doubled. Wages haven't.
