Especially enjoyed the safety precautions with the electrical tape to prevent the wire nut from backing off. And that's the stuff that makes me feel good.

Thanks for sharing! I’d probably use in-line Wagos and tape them.

Hi Leah. Still loving your shows. I too would use Wago connectors but several others have said that. The Wago type switches are awesome and I have used some before. Great work 1 million subs? Truly awesome!!! You deserve it and have earned it. You are great. Thanks!

I like the way you explain things. Nice and clear directions. I've worked on my own houses most of my life, building them from the ground up. I just finished the last onexa couple years ago and want to do another one, not practical im looking at 69 years old this year but its always in my mind to so one more. Lol Dad was a carpenter and I followed him around everywhere. I love learning new skills and you're great to learn from . Keep it up!

I always tape too. I always worried the wire nut might loosen when I tuck everything into the box. πŸ‘ 1MILπŸ‘YEA!

Jane, your content is always good. I like watching your videos and the small tips you provide. We don't have that type of connection with the clips on the switches. We still need to screw the wires in.

Old wires are often very oxidized, and metal oxides can be really iffy conductors. If the exposed wires are dull or even black, it might be worth cleaning the exposed wire with something like DeOxIt which is designed to clean oxidation, or using an abrasive like fine-grit sandpaper or better yet a fiberglass eraser to scrape oxidation off the surface of the wire.
