On a better note, what an exquisite recording. Chanticleer is a group of extraordinarily talented singers with top notch repertoire. I'm glad the use of countertenors has become more widespread than before. Chanticleer and the King's Singers used to be very much alone in terms of professional ensembles that did this kind of stuff. I'm glad to see that other ensembles are following suit and noticing the beauty of the "countertenor sound."

The vocal harmony can't get any better, I've heard them live many times, it just makes you want to close your eyes and listen, stunning.

I first heard this rendition back in 2002, and it is still one of my favorite choral arrangements ever made. I have yet to hear a recording or performance of it that matches this.

Definitely America's premier male group! I drive to San Francisco every December to hear their Christmas concert at St. Ignatius Cathedral. The place is filled... over 2,000 people... you can hear a pin drop. It is the most amazing experience I've ever known in the area of choral music. I can't wait to hear them again this coming December. They bless my soul, especially at Christmas. Thank you, Chanticleer.

I love this song, which is a bit incongruous, since I live in South Africa, where Christmas falls in the same week as the southern SUMMER solstice. It must be something to do with my Irish heritage!
