Now at 68 yrs old, I look around and listen. I don't understand this world in 2020. So shallow, so commercial...where has the art in music gone?

Born in 1946….married in 1965! Still married to the love of my life…58 years this year! Had our daughter in 66….my husband left for Vietnam in 66….the hardest year waiting for him. So many marriages didn’t last. What got me through the year was music! Played it all day long….we had our son in 77…..a surprise but a nice one! I have had a blessed life…good music….good kids….beautiful grandsons, and my husband still thinks I am sexy! ❤️

How very fortunate we were to have grown up on this music, real music. Born in ‘59 when life was so simple and the country was full of love. Dear God, bring back those days.

I got out of Vietnam and was home in 1969. So the 70s was an Awesome time for me. I met the love of my life and we married in 1971. I play music, guitar and now do live Gigs doing many of these songs. Takes me back to the good times, when everyone I loved was still alive!

I was born in 72', and my momma raised me on this music. Love these songs, reminds me of good times. She passed away 4 yrs this past December, and I came here to listen, because I'm missing her something awful. I feel like she's with me while listening. Miss and Love ya Momma!!!❤

If only Karen Carpenter knew how beloved she was she might have lived. Her fans could of cared less what she weighed!! Her voice was what we loved!! There was absolutely nothing wrong with her!!! She was Beautiful!!! Her voice was a gift from God in my opinion, as I view anyone’s gift in life!! The media judged her so harshly!!! She had so much more to give us to enjoy!!! What a tragedy!!!!! Such a loss!!!

I married my love in the early 70s, lost her unexpectedly(after 46years) and these are OUR songs. Wish I had that last kiss while dancing. Rest in paradise honey.

The 70s and 80s a time when people knew people, you talked for hours instead of texting, you could sit with someone and just listen to music. People watched concerts instead of filming concerts, You didn't need to take pictures of yourself every two minutes. God I miss being bored with my friends talking and getting in innocent trouble. Good times I am sorry my son will never know what we had.

My wife and I were teenagers back then. We would lie on the hood of the car, look at the stars and listen to these great songs.

I’m 72 married in 1970, a widow now but I still have our large collection of albums from late 1960s & 1970s. The world was so different then, better for sure. I often play them even though I cry while I listen. How lucky we were to have lived during the greatest music times ever!

80 years old now with terminal cancer, so thankful that I can still hear the real music of the 70's up to way back of the 50's and 60"s that became part of my life and often times calling my best friend few Highschool classmates of the 60s sharing the sweet memories. Thank you Channel Rodney.
