For the last year, me and my friends walked around the school thinking of all the good times that we had there. Now, all we see is a vandalized abandoned building that has broken windows, desks flipped over, printers thrown down the stairs, and broken mural tiles. There really isn't a meaning for it. Its so sad seeing one of your childhood places disrespected. That was a nice school,

Was the pencil machine still in there? At 11:06 it should have been to the left of the mural, did you guys see it by any chance?

Update: The school was sold to a developer back in May who wants to build a high quality patio home community on the site. One person on Facebook said: “I live in the district where this school is. It’s not abandoned (as it is just vacant) and still owned by the school district. It was shut down to save money because our district had too many elementary schools, so it made sense for them to merge our schools together and make it one. They built a state of art campus for where students and teachers would move to. They had a potential buyer who wanted to turn it into some old folk resident facility but apparently it fell through. Apparently, there was a group of people that broke into the building and vandalized inside and outside. A near by resident witnessed the incident but didn’t think anything of it. Thought they were just there to play on the playground and the outside fenced in gym. Our local police never caught the vandals. The group destroyed the kids murals and handprints. The school sent home a paper to those who had prints on the wall to get them if they wanted them. They had chain locked some of the doors to prevent the building from being trashed. But I guess that has failed, and it’s started to get vandalized again.” Among The Unknown believes that no one had done any damage to the murals that are present at the school, and nor did they do any damage to the handprints either, as possibly people who used to go to the school, went over to collect their prints to take them home. We did not break in, steal anything, or destroy anything as we came here with the upmost respect and we’re only here to take photos and videos and that was it. Nothing more, nothing less. We do not create openings, we use what it already there and provided for us.
