This game is no longer available on the Ludum Dare website, but it's included in a compilation of all my older games, which I uploaded to itch.io.

Download the compilation here: fat-lazy-cat.itch.io/before-the-cat

---

Had lots of fun, this was my most ambitious attempt yet.

Highlights:
-DUAL MONITORS!
-Forgetting the second monitor exists (Multiple times).
-Using Google for simple addition.
-I tried to use notepad to signify the second day, but it only lasts for about half a second.
-Dragon Rider! Awesome song, but I think it was a bit overkill, haha.

For those of you who don't know, Ludum Dare is a game design competition where you make a game in 48 hours under a specific theme; The theme this time was "Tiny World". If you're a game designer or a programmer I urge you to join in next time, it's really fun.

Be sure to check out others!

For the engine, art, coding, and level design I use Game Maker. For music I used Fruity Loops, but I usually prefer something a bit more complex (I just used it out of necessity) like milkytracker. For sound effects I use sfxr. I think that's everything.

So I fell in love with this game way back then, and I'm trying to make my own version of it myself as a first game. It's very very cute and has lots of small interesting details to try and recreate. I'm making it in Go with SDL.

Nvm, I disabled it and it still lags. It's probably all the objects (There's like 2000+)
