Hard to believe only 80 some thousand people were lucky enough to see this video. A rare look into a young Avril Lavigne's life right at the start of her amazing career. This video had to have been shot pretty close to when she had just released her first singles, even before her first album was released.

23:08 I instantly love Avril even more when she switched the channel and disturbed “Down with the sickness” was playing and her face lights up and she says “I love this song”😂.. Man the 2000’s had that awesome vibe but I’m born in 1996 lo

Thanks to algorithms drop me this video, I was born in 1976 in the country that not everyone knows.. Indonesia in south east Asia. Luckily my country is quite open for westerns culture even though in repressive era back to 70's - late 90's. So, by new millennia 2000 the regime get down by the people and my country more opened. It's the best era for my generation, especially about music. We listened 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000 OMG best era ever!! By the Time, AVRIL, linking Park, Red Hot Chilli Paper. Oasis, Gogo dolls, Eminem and moore And now in 2022 I'm 46 but I still get into it.. I even big fan of Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish, Artic Monkeys, Paramore, etc. But Avril is my Icon, I grew up with her even I'm 8 yrs older than her. I'm still listening to her songs constantly and so does my teenage daughters, it's in our car's list. Thanks Avril

Crazy that I ended up here seeing this video, after watching some Avril videos. I still have my Sony Handycam from 2002. The price had come down to around $200 for a nice easy to carry around camera with small cassettes and halfway decent battery life. Thankful that some videos like this survived and were able to be transferred to digital media, rather than to be lost, or never shot in the first place because the 80's/90's portable video cameras were huge cumbersome things with short battery life and VHS Cassettes. Not sure what this was shot with, but I'd bet a Sony Handycam (VHS-C) like mine, the quality is great. I was nearly 30 by 2002, but had been in the music scene as a DJ for the previous 4 years, I was BLOWN AWAY when I first saw Complicated on I think it was FUSE or MuchMusic or VH1 whatever it was called back then, the Canadian one. So much talent and an angelic singing voice, backed with superb punky rock guitar. It was truly a game changer. Sadly I got of into less Mainstream music back then, which I don't really regret, but it caused me to miss a lot of the good stuff from that ERA entirely, so now going back and watching what I missed, and realizing that a lot of those songs are now timeless classics that will sound good, for eternity. This girl was a Superstar before she even had a Drivers License. It's not hard to see why, listening to all of the songs on Let Go. Amazing talent, a Songwriter, and still has some good bangers, Bite Me is great and so are some of her other post-2020 releases. I will be a fan forever.
