My X and I had a son. We were blessed to remain friends. My x bought our baby a denim jacket size 3t. He had a Guns and Roses patch across the back of it. To this day that kid who is now 38 with his own family, has that jacket and the love his daddy gave him in many blessed memories. We lost him but he is never forgotton. This song hits differently now. My grandfather is a retired airforce officer and is currently 87 years old. His eye sight is slowly disappearing because of glaucoma and cataract. He had undergone surgery for his left eye and will have surgery next month for his right eye. Ever since I was a child he was a strong and very reliable person to look up to. But now he is getting weak and distant towards us. It pains me in my heart that we are slowly losing him. All I ask is more years to spend with him and my grandmother. I wouldn't mind taking care of them until their last breath. So please Lord, don't open the heaven's door yet. I need them here.
