When I was in high school 6 years ago our theatre class had a project where we had to act out to a song and a girl used this song to to act out the process of being an addict that decided to stop using and studied to become a doctor and it was so good. The class was left speechless and to this day I still think about how hard hitting her performance was and just how much this song was perfect for her story.

Watching this in 2023 hits extremely hard. As kids, we saw a kid dealing with a break-up but as adults, we see a person going through an existential crisis. We’ve experienced a lot of things in our lives, predominantly once we become adults that make us question our place in this world. This song’s lyrics perfectly describe that feeling. Outstanding performance from Zach Efron! HSM was the pinnacle of our childhoods!
