Tetra is 灯科鱼 which directly translates to light fish.
This is a blanket term for small Cyprinids like hatchets, barbs and rasboras, and even includes some killis so there might be confusion
Clown loach is 三间鼠 I believe, kinda translates to three point mouse? I guess?
Rainbow fish is 美人，for pseudomugyls (is that how it’s spelled) you can say 燕子美人。
ich is 白点病 which is literally just “white spot disease”

I was at the pet store yesterday and two women came in. They asked for a fish bowl (a very small one). They then asked what fish they can put. (At that point, I realized they were beginners) I was about to step in when the employee said something which made me proud to go to that store. He asked them whether a fish would be happy to live in such a small place. He told things about ammonia and space and all that and asked them whether they'd be happy to live in such a small space. It was truly amazing.
By the way, I live in the United Arab Emirates so love from the UAE.
