Voice of Baceprot Reaction: We Are Lady Parts Trailer
We got intrigued by the TV series “We Are Lady Parts” when one of the characters – Amina, the guitarist in the series’ fictional punk band – included our song “School Revolution” as one of her favourite songs on a post from the series’ social media account.
Unfortunately, “We Are Lady Parts” is not aired in Indonesia. What we found, however, was its trailer. And it looks super fun!
These are our thoughts and reactions after watching the trailer to “We Are Lady Parts”.

Waktu pertama kali di-mention oleh akun We Are Lady Parts, diberi tahu bahwa School Revolution menjadi salah satu lagu favoritnya Amina – gitaris baru mereka, kami langsung penasaran sama serial ini. Cari-cari di sana sini nggak ketemu, ternyata memang nggak ditayangin di sini. Haha. Yang bisa kami temukan adalah trailernya. Dan ternyata…. Seru banget! 😊

I watched the We Are Lady Parts series in the UK and while it was okay, there was a bit too much bad language in it. The burka-wearing girl smoking through the niqab was funny, though. Unfortunately, some people are jealous of others' success, hence the abuse. They don't like it that you are free to express yourselves through your music. Don't let them defeat you. Stay strong in the pursuit of your dreams, ladies. Respect from London, England.

Know this you are loved elsewhere in the world I live in Texas USA and I am a huge fan. The negative persons are few as you have gained a ton of fans, just keep doing what you love and never ever give up on your dream. Another Indonesian guitarist I love MelSickScremoAnnie, has also gone through some hateful things there in Indonesia. The ones who are doing this are the hateful religious fanatics who try to belittle women of the Muslim religion and shame on them for being so hypocritical. I am from the UK and Muslim society here is still quite traditional so the trailer is not really that representative of real life, but Hijab wearing bands are around. Sorry to hear about the abuse you suffered Fridda, bad experiences just make you stronger. Hope to see you playing in the UK soon. Rock on ladies.
