One of my favorite songs of all time is Prince's - I Would Die 4 U'...When I heard FUBT I loved it as soon as I heard it and I kept having a nostalgic feeling as I kept listening. Of course the difference in tempo and rhythm is clearly evident but there's something ever so slightly similar in the cadence. Yet the difference in these songs is what I find so unique in that even though they both evoke a strong feeling of love. Prince's 'I Would Die 4 U' is an upbeat, high tempo hypnotic sequence and FUBT is a passionate and somber emotional trip an ocean that seems endless yet it spans for only 3-minutes and 14 seconds. Both songs still ultimately winding down to this unimaginably strong feeling of love for someone or something. Amazing song HAIM I believe I've listened to it at least 50 times since I discovered it yesterday.

I just discovered HAIM last night in that powerful last scene (which I won't give away) in Sex/Life & your song was brilliantly paired!! π₯
That opening guitar reminded me of Prince & the words resonated from a time I was in an intoxicating relationship (just like the show) that nearly destroyed my soul. I finally have broken from and released that beautiful disaster of a man.
