Big Bank & DJ Scream are back for episode 8 of Big Facts! Lil Durk stops by to talk about what he's been up to, working on new music and focused on leveling up for 2020 with new hits, getting on the charts, booking festivals, and more. He talks about the evolution of the content in his music. When he first started rapping he didn't really have a subject, but now he's able to talk about real-life experiences more in his new music.

Durk talks about growing up in Chicago and having to become a man at an early age. He talks about recently relocating to Atlanta and the difference between the two cities. He credits Atlanta with having more of a vibe of unity and family, while the vibe in Chicago is war. He talks about how in Atlanta, OGs are still respected and can help to resolve issues, while in Chicago there are no OGs, and the young n****s don't care or respect their opinions.

Durk mentions a few up and coming artists out of Chicago who he thinks are next to blow, like Cowboy, Polo G, G Herbo, Cole Bennett, & more. He says that he supports all the young n****s because he remembers coming into the game, looking up to artists like Meek Mill and Future, and how impactful support from established artists can be to the next generation.

They touch on what it will take to improve the streets of Chicago, which Durk says will be hard to accomplish because respect is not easily earned in the city. He says that certain dynamics of the hood are inevitable, and that the situation will not be resolved overnight. He recalls a time when Meek reached out to him saying he wanted to come out to Chicago, and Durk kept it real, telling him to do so at his own risk, He couldn't tell him he would be good because he wasn't even good; he still had to stay safe himself, and Meek appreciated it and rocked with him more for looking out. He talks about how it's hard for OGs in Chicago to tell young n****s anything because they don't respect past accomplishments or accolades, they only care about what's going on now in the streets.

Next, they discuss the benefits of locking in and choosing the right woman to be in the life of a street n***a. Bank says that there are so many street n****s who have never experienced genuine love in their life. Some have grown up in broken homes without someone to love them, and how detrimental it is for them to go through life only loving their guns. Bank & Durk talk about how having solid women in their corner helps them to move and think differently and make better decisions. The benefits of receiving love from a solid woman and the effects on the psyche is something that cannot be attained from dealing only with h**s.

Next, the discuss Durk's advice for up and coming artists looking to sign. He talks about what he looks for in a label situation, which is the ability to push his records while maintaining a family dynamic. He advises not to worry about the money in the beginning and that with the right team and effort, the money will come. He also touches on his relationship with French Montana, what to expect from him in 2020, and hints at a new album coming soon but for now, he is keeping the details under wraps.

Next, Bank and Scream welcome Lola from Mindstate Health Care to the show to discuss mental health in the black community. Lola talks about how she was inspired to pursue a career in mental wellness and therapy after seeing so many black men suffer. She talks about how to recognize when something is not right mentally and how to find a safe space to discuss with a trusted therapist, friend, or family. They touch on mental wellness in the entertainment industry, and Lola recommends that all entertainers, athletes, and artists should seek out therapy for the ups and downs that are inevitable from living within the spotlight.

They talk about the alarming rates of black men who are suffering in silence with PTSD from growing up in poverty, broken homes, and witnessing police brutality. Bank asks how we can fix ourselves, which Lola says is possible, but we have to move beyond just praying about it to taking action and seeking out therapy. They talk about the stigma of mental illness, and Lola says that we must be more kind and open to being of service to others when we see someone who isn't right mentally. Instead of going the other way to avoid them completely, she suggests asking what is troubling them and being more supportive.

Next, they talk about a few celebrities who have had public mental breakdowns, like Orlando Brown and Antonio Brown. Lola advises that we stop telling boys not to cry, and instead ask them what is wrong and help them learn to express themselves so that we aren't teaching them to bottle up their pain, which leads to depression, mental breakdowns, and the inability to deal with their emotions as they get older.
