I love the fact that the version of Scooby Doo with the psychotic German parrot with the murder robots on a quest to unearth an eldritch horror demon is the best version of Scooby Doo.

SDMI is without a doubt one of the most popular modern adaptations of the Scooby Doo franchise! Hell it's pretty much the first ever SD series that involved things like character development, And a consistantly continuing singular storyline.

Funny you should mention the Scooby gang and Monster High. Back in 1988, before Monster High existed, there was a movie called "Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School." It doesn't have the whole gang, just Scooby, his nephew, Scrappy, and Shaggy. In it, Shaggy is hired as a gym teacher at an all-girl school, that happens to be full of monsters. There's a vampire, a mummy, a werewolf, ghost, and even Frankenstein monster. Although, they are drawn much younger looking than in Monster High.

Funny enough....there actually WAS a supernatural episode where Sam, Dean, and Cas were transported into an episode of Scooby-Doo. Yes, it was an actual cartoon and the spn guys were really animated lol. Soooo there u go 😊

My favorite random facts about this series:
-This show had a character named Hot Dog Water and then killed her off.
-Scooby is canonically an alien.
-Scooby also once accused Shaggy of cheating on him.
-Velma tries dating Shaggy multiple times and they end up breaking up mostly harmoniously. The creators have since stated she's gay and had "planned on Velma acting a little off and out of character while she was dating Shaggy because that relationship was wrong for her and she had unspoken difficulty with the why."

I just want to make it clear that a few of the Fred clips are from one episode where he was heartbroken and acting a little nonsensically. He's usually not like that. He actually makes all the traps and come up with the plans to catch the criminals. Ans in one of the later episodes actually pulls of such an elaborate plan that everyone (including the viewers) fall for it.

At 11:55, Fun fact about Scooby: he has canonically been confirmed to be a descendant of aliens that sometimes visit Earth and inhabit local animals. that's why he's able to speak as he does, and is able to eat many things that would normally be toxic to dogs.

The part at 21:20 is funny because in actual D&D, Magic Missile is the only attacking spell that doesn't require an attack roll (or saving throw, but that's not relevant), so you CAN'T crit with it.
