I really think that this video would be great for educate teens in High Schools!! I wish they would allow education such as this in schools!🙏
It really is needed these days, with the opiate epidemic!! Also, a video explaining what it really feels like to take opiates and what it really feels like to go through withdrawl!! The whole " Just Say No" program really isn't enough anymore!!

Thanks for making this video. Not only because I am a recovering addict but I live in Baltimore and I see ppl OD almost on a daily. My fiancé and I carry narcan around in our backpacks and I cannot tell you how many times we have had to use them. They give out free kits its so bad out here i5 also have my psychiatrist write me scripts for it. He gives me 4 sprays at a time a MB d I usually run out before I can get more. I was about to take the class to be certified to give the shot but the rona shut that down. I am also in the process of getting my certificate to do drug counseling. I believe the best person to help an addict is someone who truly understands their struggle.

They do have the 3 strike rule in Baltimore. If its your third OD they don't have to help you. My counselor trained us to never mention drugs when calling 911. To just say the person is unresponsive and that either their breathing is very shallow or they are not breathing at all. The first responders around here do not care I was an EMT for 4 years. I literally watched a young man get gunned down in broad daylight on one of the busiest corners in our city right outside the subway station at Penn North. 5 regular police and 3 MTA police were within a half a block of it. I was so close I could see his body moving as each bullet hit. Over 15 police a 2 fire trucks were there within 3 minutes yet it took 12 minutes for the EMTs to arrive they claim he died at the hospital but he was gone before they even got there. That area is a very high crime/ drug area with a lot of poor and homeless ppl. Ik I lived in that area for awhile. Its all I can afford living off an SSI check so everyone always assumes everything is drug related. Thank you for bringing this back in the spotlight. No one has the right to decide not to save another persons life addict or otherrwise

I wish you were in my grad classes. Especially substance use and alcohol drugs and crime. I would cringe at the stuff people would say. Ugh year ago in a town in Ohio, a city councilor wanted to implement a 3 strike rule for overdoes where emergency services wouldn’t response to a 3rd overdose. Just like what you’re saying, the stigma is so so bad. Emily for Boston city council. I see you making a big time difference <3
