.Did I seriously hear someone say "mother trumpets" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Glad you loved it America! 🇮🇪❤️ I saw him on night 1 of the tour at Marlay Park, June 23rd 2023. It took Dermot Kennedy and a determination to hear him live that got me out of being bedbound or just at home in bed doing nothing but ignoring life 70% of the time from 2018 due to widespread chronic pain suffering for 18 years as well as severe depression, literally lying in bed every day, I'm pain, or having been "awake all night again and my body just then deciding (FOR ME, when I get 2 or 8 hours sleep) I dont run on daytime or night time hours any more but for this and the fact I'd recently been binging his music on Spotify . My uncle was taking his daughter and her friend (both14) I managed with elation to get two resale tickets for me and my partner who said he likes his music but wouldn't be as big a "fan" I guess ( -hes more that macho man "testosterone - reinforce feelings blockage" voodoo cursed type) I felt I would need him anyway (true in case of medical issues, my uncle wouldn't know what to do) but ANYWAY for me it was a 14hour, entire day out of my little hermit "safe zone" mostly on my feet. Mostly crying to the beautiful vocals, the heart and soul out into each line, the feeling that "you" were being spoken to, there was a truck tonne of emotional detachment going on though too. I was looking around and seeing couple holding eachother everywhere. Girl and boy groups all out to see him all screaming his vocals together and hugging eachother just like I would've done 20 years ago 🥺 ... but I stood alone, wishing I had no one to cry with, to be there for me, to sing with me, to soak up the melodic beauty floating through the Dublin night air. Nope, he was a 6feet away from me in discussion with my uncle. 19 years later. I just got ignored when he should really have noticed my emotion and need for him since he should be so used to my feelings and expressions it should be automatic but it isn't. After 19 years people 😥 At least he realised on the way home that I literally just dropped off to sleep without warning on the two buses and made sure he got his coat under my head so I could go to sleep rather than go into rambling nonsensically (narcolepsy GP thinks, waiting for sleep study) Better Days are coming... I wish it was my time to dance in the sun 😢
