Starship Troopers '97 is my favorite movie,and i've watched it countless times,but i remember back in 1999 (first time i heard about it) i rented it and i had 24 hours before i had to return it. Watched it 4 times during that period.

I will never stop being so happy at how Casper Van Dien just totally went all-in on loving his role in Starship Troopers. The guy has never wearied of or become frustrated with being Johnny Rico his entire damn life. You feel like he could be having the worst day ever and yet if someone shouted RICO! or ROUGHNECKS! at him in the street he'd still HOOAH! right back.

It's so refreshing to see an actor just excited to reminisce about his previous role and nerding out. Starship Troopers could easily have been one of those movies that the actors try to pretend never happened.

I had the pleasure of meeting Casper in person at a Comic convention in 2017. He is every bit as humble and kind as is shown here. Starship Troopers had such an impact on me as a teen going to the cinema and watching that masterpiece that sadly was overlooked by everybody. Man that film has it all.
