I first heard this in the summer of 1989, driving past a town called Weed off Highway 5 between San Francisco and Seattle. It had just been released and I have never forgotten it's totally unique sound. I still prefer it to Spiderland.

RIP Steve Albini. An alltime musical hero from the day I bought Big Black's Songs About Fucking on vinly when I was 16. I am now 50 and still have that record. Only the other day I was talking to my 16 year old about him and his production work with Pixies and Nirvana.
Tweez sounds better than Spiderland.
