After a little hiatus last year, he officially returned on the debut edition of AEW Collision. How long will this tenure last? we will find out.. but I thought with all this talk of CM Punk why not go back to his WWE run, the run that made him who he is. The run that made him into a huge star. Look back at the ups and downs and that ending that nobody was ready for.. and why because of that ending, many fans are hoping that this CM Punk return, it finally ends with a happy ending.. lets go back to The Night CM Punk Left the WWE...

Itā€™s crazy to think that itā€™s almost been 10 whole years that CM Punk has left WWE. Although his career has had so many ups and downs, heā€™ll forever remain one of my childhood favorites both before and after the Pipebomb. Before with the Straight Edge Society and his ECW time, and of course, the voice of the voiceless and longest reigning WWE Champion afterwards. What a career and while heā€™s hated by many today, I still love him for the wonderful memories heā€™s given me and many others.šŸ‘

Punk is a strange case. He's got an ego, but it's not entirely unwarranted. He repeatedly blames other people for what happens to him, but largely because he was continually getting screwed over by Vince. Like him or not though, the guy is a damn fine performer both in-ring and on the mic.

i will never forget the next day, my step dad was taking me to my first ever wwe event. i was a die hard cm punk fan. i was so upset when kane took him out during the rumble. i remember my parents yelling at me for how frustrated i was. going to that raw, it was said he was on the card for the night. i was on the tip of my toes waiting for the tv static, all the way up to the main event, i was still chanting cm punk. then he never showed up. heading home my step father told me cm punk had left wwe and i bawled my eyes out all the way back home from cleveland. happy to see him in aew. his return has such a special place in my heart.

CM Punk is entertaining as hell. Wrestling is always fun to watch when he's involved.

My love for wrestling died when CM Punk left in 2014. I've been watching WWE since 2001, at one point I was so done with WWE and then in 2011 CM Punk brought back the magic. Once he left, it was never the same. His AEW debut was such an AWESOME moment. Whenever Punk returns to wrestling, its a blessing. He truly is the best wrestler in the world (for me at least).

One more thing, about him being in the main event, he should've got it at wrestlemania 29 vs. Cena or taker. He was feuding with cena on and off since 2011 and it would've made sense to end the longest feud at the time (the one people probably cared about more tbh) at mania. Even then Punk vs. Taker is still main event material

Things like Cena vs laurinaitus headlining a PPV, HHH winning over CM punk and Cena winning over Brock after his to return for 8 years. Reminds me of why my interest in WWE was at a low point during the early 2010s (2010-2012).

Regardless of what people think of the man after brawl out, watching and listening to CM Punk helped give me a voice in a household where I never had one which led to me getting out of there. Will always have a soft spot for him

Even though heā€™s not my favorite wrestler, he was the one who provided my favorite match in WWE. The one against Cena on the Raw in February 2013. I knew the company treated him like crap, but I didnā€™t know that about his last match. When that ref said that to him, I was in complete utter shock that they really didnā€™t care at all. It made me see a whole new light and respect for him that he to deal with this terrible company so he could please the fans. CM Punk, no matter if you hate him or love him, you have to respect him.

Fun fact: When you do the ads in the beginning of the video, I actually watch them. When people put them in the middle of it, I usually just skip through to get to the rest of the video, but in the beginning, it's not too intrusive. I like it this way.

CM Punk is largely responsible for a lot of former WWE fans tuning back to the program in 2011. And I don't think that can be disputed.

At a live event in the UK in November 2011 half of the audience stood up when Cena made his entrance. The entire audience stood up when Punk made his entrance. It speaks volumes as to the popularity of Punk during that era (2011-2013).
