I think that Alex and the whole band decided to follow the normal natural path of aging and growing up, instead of getting stuck in their teenage years like most bands that had success during that time did.
That's fine and it's just healthy and normal. Which means that he's a healthy guy instead of a junky drunk rock band guy like many others.
I love him for that, he's still the coolest one.
