Canadian millionaire Richard 'Dick' Oland was found dead on the floor of his office on a warm summer morning in 2011. The 69 year-old was known to be ruthless in his business dealings. He had no doubt made many enemies.

But the scene suggested that his murder had been a crime of passion. The killer was likely someone Dick had known well, and maybe even loved.

Why don't rich people just tell their families that as long as they are alive they will help them but when they die it all goes to charity? I bet they'd live forever!

The only thing that stood out to me was they have to call each others mobiles to locate the other in the home 😂🤣 Our home is so small I can hear my partner fart in another room 😅

Gotta love how every aspect about this man was absolutely despicable and hateful but he was "Still well respected." Because....?? Oh yeah he was rich. So he's just "eccentric '

I am a native of Saint John and have followed this case very closely since day one (largely because of familial links). This is an outstanding treatment of the case. You deserve an award for it!

Kevin, your dissection of the Richard Oland case is a masterclass in unraveling a tangled web of mystery and intrigue. As you meticulously peeled back each layer of the investigation, revealing the complexities and nuances, it became evident that this was far more than a simple crime of passion. Your thoughtful analysis, combined with the haunting details of the case, kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire video. The way you navigated through the various theories, from familial strife to potential ties to organized crime, showcased your ability to delve deep into the heart of a perplexing mystery. Your presentation was both captivating and insightful, leaving me eagerly awaiting your next exploration into the world of true crime.

Yeah I don’t think the Russian and Ukrainian would take too kindly to losing 16 million and his son doesn’t seem smart enough to have disposed of a weapon and cleaned himself up enough

"Not Guilty" is a legal term and does not equate to innocence. The presiding Judge commented during his findings that there was a preponderance of evidence pointing toward Dennis' guilt, but the Judge was legally bound to find him Not Guilty, due to Reasonable Doubt.

Dick sure liked to play around. No matter how much money you have you eventually have to face the music.

Wow, if Dennis had been a regular schlub without a family to foot the bill for his defense, he would still be in jail. He may have done it but there certainly were too many holes in the prosecution's case to have gotten a guilty verdict. His defense team did an amazing job and Dennis was very lucky to have gotten another trial. Great narration of a perplexing story, Kevin. Oh, and, Dick was a hound dog. His poor wife.
