Aside from the multiple "That would never happen that way in real life!" moments (and there are many), this movie will make you squirm in your seat and raise your anxiety level extremely high even if you're mildly scared of heights. For those people who love to tear apart EVERY movie for 'realism', sometimes, you just have to suspend disbelief and simply be entertained for a couple of hours. Just be grateful that, realistic or not, you'll never need to climb a 2,000 ft tower.

This was a better movie than I thought it would be, truly quite riveting. And as one of those people who get uneasy up a ladder, I had near-constant anxiety once the girls started climbing, especially when they got to that final stretch of ladder out in the open. And when they were on that tiny platform at the top, I had waves of vertigo hitting me even though I was just sitting in my seat. Some belief has to be suspended (no pun intended), but the movie is well worth a watch.

This movie is MUCH better than you’d expect. People need to stop picking for realism and just enjoy a movie for once. Had my heart rate up, easily.
Also, since many people in the comments don’t know how cell towers work: If you’ve ever seen a cell tower, you will see multiple rectangular directional antennas surrounding it. Those have a very narrow angle of broadcast/reception each. They are also angled ever so slightly down, only meant to cover a certain area, so as to avoid interference with other towers. imagine coverage as a very wide triangle from the top of a cell tower. In such a situation, you could be within the coverage range on the ground, but be well above it, by the time you hit 1000 feet. Not to mention, the tower depicted in this movie, at 2000 feet tall, would be far taller than any cell tower. This tower does exist, known under a different name.
TLDR: cell towers are made of many directional antennas, and don’t broadcast/receive very much higher than their own height. This tower in the movie is far taller than any cell phone tower.

Rule #1: always alert someone you know that you will be doing something stupid and when they can expect to see you return for doing the stupid thing, so you don’t stupidly die.
