I recently got a banjo and came to a stunning realization. Any open g songs that you may know on guitar can translate directly to the banjo! If you can fingerpick ala John Fahey in open g, you already know how to play banjo! Woo Hoo!

Eric - This is great! I LOVE the way this tune sounds on that 5-string! Gives me a notion to pick one up myself. I'll bet that Fahey's version of "The World Is Waiting for the Sunrise" (also in open G) would translate to the banjo nicely as well. Enthusiastic thumbs up! Dave
