CONTEXTO:
La canción hablar sobre un joven que no sabe hacia donde va en su vida, o su propósito para vivir, al que parece que todo le sale mal.
Al preguntar a su familia sobre eso, le responden que "no debe hacer las cosas bien, solo mantener la cabeza en alto".
Sin embargo, el protagonista no está de acuerdo en esto, pues piensa que si todos nos comportamos así, seremos clones viviendo la misma vida, destinados al fracaso.
"Dando vueltas, (está vez) no voy a dejar que cambies mi forma de pensar, hasta que me muestres para que es esta vida".
La canción es una crítica a las generaciones pasadas, que no se cuestionan por qué las cosas se han hecho de la misma forma siempre, y por qué nadie está persiguiendo sus sueños en esta vida.
"Todo el vacío que siente no se llenará con ese vacío en tu interior".
La canción termina aclarando que la única razón para mantener la frente en alto es para defender tus ideales y no para aguantar una vida que te deja insatisfecho.

round and rounds probably my top favorite but the whole album "night visions" is just amazing. ik a lot of people hate on imagine dragons but i love just ab everything they've put out. they are just so wholesome and that album takes me back to summer 2013 when life was simple and me my brothers and dad would all listen to it looking at the stars by a fire just talking.. miss it.

I remember my dad was trying to get me to listen to another song with the same title. This started instead, and I am so happy it did, this song is amazing, and just magnificent.
