I’m 19 and my mom has refused to cook food for me ever since high school. I barely ate growing up and developed an eating disorder freshmen year of 2019. I’m in college now and I still hate cooking because I don’t know much, thank god my sister moved back in here to help me out. I love and hate my mom sometimes, she doesn’t acknowledge my truama’s growing up because then she throws the line out “I guess I’m a bad mom then.” No, she’s the best mom I can ask for. However, she didn’t look after me growing up because she had to work. I don’t blame her for paying the bills, I just wish someone looked after me growing up. I was SAED by my babysitters son as a child (he was a grown man) and I developed reactive attachment disorder (I don’t trust no caretaker). I’m a freshmen in college now and life has been hard. My wisdom teeth are coming out and it’s hurting a lot, I cried because of the bad traumatic fear I have of the dentist. My mom told me to stop crying and she told me to get over it because I’m an adult now. She then yelled at me because I was crying instead of washing the dishes, and hasn’t talked to me since. I would move out but I have such bad anxiety that I somehow clings to my mother even if she treats me bad sometimes. So yeah, safe to say I’m jealous of this mother and daughter duo, especially because we are close in age. Sorry for trauma dumping, I just needed to get my feelings out which is why I’m awake at night again.
