Reddit needs to learn the concept of "loss leaders" like the grocery stores did decades ago. yeah you won't make as much money from those that use third-party apps, but those that use third-party apps (a relatively small number compared to the broader user base) are typically the most active users which keeps Reddit stocked with new content for the broader base to enjoy. lose a little, gain a lot

The problem with the strike is saying that it would only be for 48 hours. Obviously Reddit can then just wait for it to be over if they didn’t say how long then it would’ve been more effective

R/dndmemes switched to a goblin mode for quite some time as part of the protest as well as marking the sub NSFW. Naturally people began to post pron instead of memes, and the mods had to do an occasional purge of the stuff. Hopefully those mods have therapy because there was a lot. What was interesting is that the variety in posts and I think also the amount of users increased after goblin mode was switched on. Perhaps it was just because people were starting to get drunk on goblin pron.
