Ik no one cares but heres my view on the song. It sounds like its he finds someone to be best friends with and she likes him and he friendzones her as best friend. So she moves on. He goes on wanting to be her best friend and #1. She finds someone and falls in love and he realizes he fell in love with her. And he just wants to be the one. So where hes saying your gonna wanna be my best friend, it goes from him friendzoning her to realizing he wants to be the one and doesnt want her to go off with another guy. He seems like hes trying so hard to not love her but he really does.
