Not gonna lie at this point jubilee should just do actual debates and allow the guest to prepare and come with both statistics and anecdotes that way you get the numbers and reality side of whatever topic it is

Again, this series desperately needs:
1) Live fact checking
2) Better moderation
3) Better preparation from the participants (encourage them to come with stats and articles and numbers)
So many of these discussions go off the rails bc people are saying things that either aren't true or aren't on prompt and it's so frustrating.

Itâs really annoying when a conversation starts actually getting somewhere or someone is making their point and they eventually just cut to the next prompt. Theyâve done it much more often recently and then started charging you to go watch their full version. I donât want to pay for the full version if itâs still gonna be lackluster question topics, people consistently cutting each other off with no moderation and their arguments eventually getting cut off to get to the next topic. I would pay/support if it meant the quality would be better but itâs literally the same video with an extra topic.

The dude with the head scarf was honestly so unbelievably annoying. He really ruined this conversation by acting like the main character and having such a crappy way of interacting with people. At one point he grabbed the guy next to him and aggressively put his arm around him so he could cut him off and interrupt him. Thats fine to do with your friends. Its not fine to do to a complete stranger you're having a political conversation with

I feel like jubilee should have a mediator that makes sure no one gets interrupted and an after credits where everyoneâs points are fact-checked. I can see these videos being educational in seeing other perspectives but I think Jubilee need to make sure misinformation isnât being spread.

I think this is the first time jubilee has brought on real leftists and not neoliberal democrafts and while it was definitely refreshing, the conversation seemed to go in too many directions to be cohesive. I think middleground needs a much more active moderator to keep everyone on track. No one actually even discussed the first prompt about power, it went straight into a general argument of capitalism vs communism in general.

The problem is that the communist side in this video is basing all of their ideas on what they read in ideological books as opposed to the reality but judge capitalism based on the reality as opposed to the ideological writings.
Marx would always paint a rosier picture of his own ideology than the reality of applying said ideology.

I wouldâve loved if a moderator came in and gave explicit definitions of capitalism and communism because they are not universally agreed upon in general, and Iâm sure even in this small sample size, most of them would not agree on a single definition.
