Nancy Kerrigan has broken her silence over the new biopic ‘I, Tonya.’ "I was the victim," said Kerrigan, who was whacked in the knee during a 1994 attack orchestrated by Harding's then-husband. The film is sympathetic to her former rival, Tonya Harding. "I haven't seen the movie, I'm just busy living my life," she told the Boston Globe. Harding has received a backlash of criticism for the favorable treatment she is now getting. #InsideEdition

There’s always two sides in a story. The media told Kerrigan’s many years ago, this movie told Tonya’s.

Yes, but the problem is that we've seen Nancy's side for over 20 years. I think that Tonya's side does deserve a chance to be heard. And the movie doesn't even paint her in a bad light. It keeps her to a minimum because it isn't her side.

"I was the victim"—yeah, and you've never let anyone forget it either, Nancy. Don't get me wrong—what happened to Kerrigan SHOULDN'T have happened, and I don't believe she "deserved it"—but in the greater scheme of things, Kerrigan ended up with a bruised knee, while Tonya's entire life was pulled out from under her. Nancy was no princess, and neither was Tonya, but at least Tonya was candid about it. Nancy's entire persona was all a charade.

They were both victims in differernt ways. While Nancy's victimhood was more obvious, Tonya's was longer lasting and more consequential across her life.

"That's my role in this whole thing. That's it" Yes because it's about Tonya's life and her career, not you Nancy.

Didn't Nancy throw a temper tantrum on tv when she didn't win the gold medal?

i feel Nancy can’t move on, while Tonya overcame a lot. 2 sides, we see where each stand.

"Tonya was mentally and physically abused her entire life and had her career and dreams ripped from under her despite a lack of evidence she played a role but like, my leg got bruised so obviously I'm the victim here"

Oh please, what happened to Nancy sucked but it didn't keep her from competing at the Olympics and it didn't keep her from skating forever. I bet a movie on Nancy would be boring to watch anyway.

I think they're both victims.

To people asking why Nancy never got a movie: 1: there was only one event, she got clubbed in the knee which is bad but she recovered in a few days 2: it wouldn’t be a great film, it would legit be only Nancy skating for half of it, being hit in the knee and nothing else, tonyas movie involved her dad abandoning her, her mum physically abusing her, the scandal, how her coach was the only one who believed in her, her abusive husbands and so much more, even the good moments were very powerful in the film such as tonyas triple axel. Nancy never had the sort of power that Tonya did so she never stood out, she was a pretty girl with average skating (for a professional) so she got good scores 3: her story has already been told, Nancy had her story told in the 1980s-1990s but tonyas part had never been shared so it was only natural for someone to finally give her the spotlight after so long 4: Nancy never struggled at a young age like Tonya did. This is significant to a movie because it shows tonyas “rags to riches” type story of how she became the best skater of her time while Nancy didn’t struggle like Tonya did despite the scandal. If you disagree, say why, I will respond prob

A victim, but for how long? At some point you need to move from victim to survivor.

oh, Nancy. the reality is you got plenty of tea and sympathy for decades while your attitude was allowed to go uncheck. further, this made you, made you millions. you lost nothing, gained everything. now it's time for Tonya to tell her side about what happened and why. it's actually good insight. so please, spare me the eternal victim slant when this made you. a silver/bronze was never going to make you millions nor have people remember your name decades from now. let's be 100 percent honest.

“I am the victim” ok? We didn’t say you weren’t. No one is accusing you of anything, all we’re doing is telling the story of Tonya’s hardships.

If Nancy doesn't care about the movie then why comment on it? The incident happened 24 years ago. The scandal just got her on Dancing with the Stars so she still a cash cow like Tonya. Only thing is Tonya got a movie out of it to tell her side of the story, since she didn't get the chance too everybody wanted to hear Nancy's side of the story. As far as not getting an apology Tonya tired to apologize their interview together.

Of course, the princess is always the victim. Disney taught us that since childhood.

Nancy, dude, if you don't care about the movie because you're too busy "living your life", the right answer, when asked about the movie, should be this: "Oh I couldn't care less. I'm too busy living my life." end.

The guys got 18 months and Nancy had a "bruised knee" for a couple weeks. It's not like she lost her legs.Tanya was banned for life, Enough apologies.

What kind of a person still refers to themselves as a victim after it happened 24 years ago? You'd think it was a defining part of her personality by how she talks about it
