I like it when the lightning bugs come out. It seems like lightning bugs are getting fewer and fewer. I only see the lightning bugs like 2 weeks out of the year, but its pretty when they do.

They are everywhere here in eastern Alabama. Spent hours listening to them today deep in the woods. The sound is amazing. Love it! Once in a lifetime event I guess.

I was living in my homwtown in Kentucky when they came out two uprisings ago. It was something. Almost like a horror movie seeing people running and swatting insects away. ๐ I love cicada sounds in the summer when its just a few of them tho

There are about 165 species of cicadas in the USA. The one you have to is the "Cassin's 17-year, Magicicada cassinii," its loud!!
