#Ulvesang #darkfolk #neofolk

Ulvesang is a Darkfolk/Neofolk band from Canada inspired by nature, animals, folklore, struggles with mental illness, and melancholy.

Ulvesang is the collective effort of two individuals sharing an interest in melancholic, naturalistic, Darkfolk/Neofolk music. Our influences within the genre are important to us, but we strive to build our own unique take on a pre-established sound. We hope to build stories and atmosphere with our music.
Alex Boyd & Ana Dujakovic (Ulvesang)

January 2024. I still come back to this album and quiet often. The atmosphere of wondering, but not lost, is so enchanting.

44 minutes of beautiful music and no ads, with time stamps and separations showing titles of each song on the scroll bar? All the yes. this makes my heart happy.

This comment section is beautiful. I feel like the algorithm has led me to a hidden world. So many people saying they feel less alone, or stumbled across this and were floored by the beauty. Me too, friends. Lets enjoy this incredible art together πŸ’œ

Was expecting hardcore metal which I normally listen to and get recommendations for, was pleasantly surprised how peaceful and ambient this turned out to be.

This album reminds me of days from my childhood, running around the woods behind my house. The natural beauty and innocence of those times I will always cherish - making forts out of sticks and leaves, mucking around in thigh-deep mud, climbing trees, and watching the bats in the night sky, amidst the stars. This music brings back nostalgia of those times and makes me want to get outside and do that again, though now I'm an adult. And so I shall. Thanks for the great music, Ulvesang.

Algorythm is such a mysterious power...sometimes it's bad, but sometimes it's amazing. This is one of those amazing algorhythm moments.

I find myself coming back to this masterpiece every couple of weeks or months, and no matter what has happened during that time, this album transports me back to that serene, yet powerful emotional state, in which I feel the cold of the world and the heat of human passion. Ever since I discovered it back in 2023 through YT reccomendations, it has been consistently amazing on every re-listen of it. One of my favorite albums of all time.

Dale Cooper always said that you should give yourself a gift every day. Just let it happen. This is today's gift.

I love the fact that so far no band with beautiful cover art hasn't disappointed my expectations, including this one.

Just had this music recommended to me tonight by Youtube. Not once has a song, on my first ever listen, ever drew me to tears. No song without lyrics has made me cry before, period. I'm only 6 minutes into this album, and I am in love already. Where has this been all my life?
