“Jessica” is my favorite piece of music by anyone ever. It’s pure joy. My heart is mighty sad today. But I’m lucky to have lived through a time when such music was being made.

😢 The Allmans one of my favorite bands of all time, most members are now gone. I was fortunate to see Duane and Dickie play in the Allmans.

To this day, one of the best shows I ever attended was the Allmans on the Seven Turns tour. Betts was a huge reason why that show was so great.

One of the greatest no doubt! Without him The Allman Brothers could not have carried on to have the success that they did after Duane. Glad I got to see him live with the Brothers at least once. We are at a time now that all our musical heroes are not going to be around much anymore. Father time has caught up on this classic rock generation. Thanks Dickey for the great music!

Swear to God I was listening to the SUNY live Blue Sky with Dickie and Duane (which is amazing) this morning while driving thinking Dickey and Jaimoe were the only ones left then came here immediately when I saw the news on AP site. Pete, your channel made me dive deep on ABB about 3 years ago so I I had to get your take. Thanks for leading me down the rabbit hole. Such a beautiful talent Dickey was.
