If it wasn't for bands like Green Day, Offspring, Rancid and Nofx I never would have heard or gotten into the first wave punk bands like Ramones, Pistols, Clash, Misfits etc...even Rockabilly from the 50's and 60's my old man listens to. I don't listen to Green Day or the Offspring anymore but still have major respect for them.

To the people who don't get why Green Day covered the misfits for Metallica's birthday it's because Metallica loves the misfits. Also Metallica, Green Day, and the Misfits all kick ass
