My theory is that he had a psychotic break. He didnāt really let her go from the parking lot first or he left first so he could stop ahead of her. He falsely created the memories of letting her go, sitting in his car and making the call. Thatās why he didnāt know that his description was given. It was the kind of person he wanted to be, but heās actually quite abusive to his girlfriend. It calls into question everything that happened from the beginning of the video. The only problem with this theory is that his āsecondā car is red, and his āfirstā car is white. It could be written off as a mistake on the video makerās part or it could be symbolic. He is at first having a āinnocentā relationship with this woman and they both seemingly really love each other. The viewer wants them to be together, but all is not what it seems. He gets in his āinnocentā car from which he watches the murder, but really thatās in his mind only. What really happened, happened in his ācrimeā car. Someone watched from their car that was white, innocent and pure and he fantasized about being that person. His ācrimeā car was red as it was destined to be stained with her blood. Her car was white since she was innocent of the crime of course, except for the both of them were participating in the affair they were having, but with him being abusive, she may have never been willing to have an affair since he was married. Maybe before the video started, he told her that he was married and he fantasized that she still wanted to be with him. She didnāt take it well. He left first and met her on the road or just didnāt let her leave. I think itās also possible that the only white car was hers and his was always red, but then the viewer is left to try to figure out whether or not she ever left the parking lot.

Who would leave their car doors open, at night, in such a situation?? Totally breaks the immersion, totally unrealistic, terrible writing for an otherwise well put together and well acted film. Absolutely implausible, great twist though.
