Fantastic interview. Fletcherā€™s passing has drawn me back to this amazing band. Martin Gore is an absolute genius with the magnitude of stunning songs heā€™s created

This was a great experience to behold in person and I feel VERY FORTUNATE to have been able to ask Dave the question (at 37:50) about his perspective on Martin's lyrics after becoming a lyricist in his own right. He gave me a very heartfelt and thoughtful response and it was great to have the whole band looking directly at me as I listened, looked and took his answer in. A great night overall... DM never lets me down.

One reason for their longevity is the fact that they have great chemistry. The fact that they have a huge amount of talent doesn't hurt either.

This is the thing I also love about DM not only the soulful music but also the 'lads' have no pretence or heirs and graces about them, they are what they are, three lads from Basildon UK who make music. I love the way they just have banter between each other and the audience, they don't come across as 'I'm a big star' or pseudo music intellectuals. they're just three blokes having fun and making music, that it just happens millions love. ā¤šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

Yes they are very talented artists with amazing songs but I think the reason why we love them so much is because they are wonderful human beings, very successful and to the day very humble individuals, in fascinated by this interview, good luck with you new album, I can't wait to have it.

One of the most interesting interviews I have ever seen, funny, warm, deep and emotional, a glimpse in the past that we, as a fans, can never know for sure. Very enjoyable to see them all having this great chemistry and vibe. DM forever, thank you!

love how these working class boys learnt instruments , experimented and brought a WHOLE sound. Big up Depeche Mode for ruling it AND keeping it real

Soundtrack of my life... exactly right. I went through everything with depeche mode music. Made me get goosebumps, made me cry. One time I was already going nuts on too much meth I felt Martin was crying with me :-)

Best interview I've heard in ages. However, I feel the crowd would applaud to one of them sneezing.
