you're right on) Lizzy McAlpine is the GREATEST pop artist to come along in a VERY long time. How such musical sophistication and nuance can come from a 22 year old woman is a total mystery. Her voice is angelic and vulnerable, her songs are totally original and surprising, and the production is out of this world! Pure beauty! God bless her, she's our new Joni Mitchell. I loved your analysis) Thanks for this video! blessings and Keep swingin!

I could be wrong, but as someone who lost their father, the way I understand the line "like a child at the grown ups table" is that when you go through very traumatic experiences or/and grief you end up growing up too fast for your age. You are kind of forced to take some maturity. You are treated as an adult because you went through things that usually only adults go through, but inside you are still a child and you are robbed from that childhood innocence (I know I need therapy)

You should definitely watch the short film she made for this album. It really changes your perspective

hey i love how you always try to understand all the meanings it just feels so natural to someone who loves music and really listens with attention, that said i’d definitely there’s some insights you should know about and will help you follow the story line cause as the movie shows it’s a conceptual cohesive breakup album so at the beginning you have the end of the first breakup and erase me is about her first hookup after the relationship, when you get to all my ghosts it’s 3 years forward and she is in a new relationship still struggling with the first breakup. when you get to reckless driving it’s the end of the second breakup because she’s just not ready for the commitment as much as she loves him, she’s still not over the first boy. the rest of the album is her coping, understanding and accepting the grief of the first relationship because she just pretended she was fine, she never really dealt with it. ceilings definitely shows how she wants to move on and have a new movie starting but still isn’t there yet. chemtrails is about her dad who died and how important he was in her life and perfect right before orange show speedway that ends the exes storyline, basically they met at a festival and now three years later she’s at a different festival but everyone looks like her ex cause every festival looks like the one they went together and it’s kinda giving her closure cause she’s with her friends and feels ok

Thanks. Great reaction. I hope that through reactions and recommendations she will get the attention she deserves. The craziest thing is that this album gets even better with each listening. I have never experienced something like that. Her upcoming tour was sold out literally in 5 seconds. And she has at least three important supporters on her side: Finneas, Ashe and Jacob Collier. I just made the "mistake" of watching the short film before listening to 5sf. Her first 4 releases since 2016 already showed how talented she is especially with vocal layering and harmonizing and creating atmosphere. She said that it was sort of a concept album because all the songs are linked in some way with easter eggs and lyrical references. Doomsday is part one of a trilogy, erase me is part two and all my ghosts part 3. All about the same boy. Chemtrails is her "Rynes song". ❤❤
