My mother was this kind of attractive.
She spent about two hours per day just polishing her look before leaving the house., to go do her cocktail waitress job.
She never ever left the house without looking "attractive ".
And...
She never did anything without a burning ciggerett at arms length.
She was also a lush.
However.
She always kept my brother and I in a good clean home.
She cooked good southern meals most every day.
She kept us in nice clothes, and made sure we always attended school.
Our homes were always in good middle class neighborhoods.
Always houses.
Never apartments.
She taught us to have an honest work ethic, and become independent.
She tried to fill us with self confidence.
WAS SHE A "GOOD MOTHER ? "
As her 50 year old daughter....
I say No .
No, my mother was not a
" good mother " by my standards.
She was a lush.
Drunk most every night.
Gone to the bars several nights per week.
When I got my drivers license at age 16, I didnt realize my mother would consider me her new chaufer. Calling me in the middle of the night to pick her drunk ass up at some dive bar in town, on a regular basis.
Putting me at risk.
Bringing home men that were a danger to me and my brother.
Coming home after 2: am all wound up, making so much noise.
Waking us up to fawn all over us, trying to kiss our faces with her putrid ashtray and alcoholic breath stench in our faces.
So REPULSIVE.
This was a weekly routine for all of my little brother's life, and for 8 years of my life.
Mostly my teen years .
I could not join school organizations, or girls clubs. Or anything that would further my academics.
I had to be my little brother's sarogate mother as soon as I got home from school.
Most every single day.
Yet.... she never ceased to tell us how much she loved us.
As if simply SAYING that she loved us over and over could cover all of the holes.
The term " Good Mother "
is relevent.
And perhaps short sighted.

My heart really broke for Michael and Ying Ying, Their stories touched me the most. I just cant begin to imagine how and why people would want to hurt another person for no reason at all. What level of evil is inside of you to want to commit these acts. More and more everyday I'm convinced that God just needs to start all over again. This world is doomed. It really is the land of the lost. RIP to all the victims.

Iāve come across Yingyingās story several times on different channels over the years. Itās the same story but it still gets me every time I see her last line in her diary, āLifeās too short to be ordinary.ā and hear her motherās agony. I will always hate the 2 jurors who voted out of the DP. Like, if his cold, soulless deed isnāt worthy enough of DP, then what is?

It is so tragic that those young men seem to have been raised in a culture where you'll target someone because of their sexual orientation. It's a cultural issue. I'd like to think it's becoming less of one and maybe that's getting built on the backs of these poor victims like Michael.
Michael's only "crime" was to finally experience connection and love. He'd never had a boyfriend. My heart weeps for him

Have you ever seen him mad and slinging her phone out in the middle of the street of their neighborhood before.?? Can you imagine him doing that?? He did.
Somebody saying somebody else wouldn't hurt a fly...is a joke...means nothing.
That same girl wants to pretend a stranger came by just when he slung her phone in the road?ššš

FYI: Bodega Bay is the coastā¦ not near it. Beautiful and romantic. This story of Lindsey and Jason is so beyond sad. What a beautiful romantic journey they went on before their murders. I am from the Bay Area and all of the places talked about right up to sleeping on the beach in Jenner, I have experienced. I was about 16, on the run and am feeling very lucky right now that nothing happened other than me practically freezing to death. The things we did when we thought the world was a safer placeā¦š
Rest in peace beautiful coupleā£ļø
