The "it's raining today" sample is from Scott Walker - It's Raining Today (1969), and I think that song inspired the video tbecause it's about the girl he saw through the window on the train. He says about the rain being like memories descending on the window. It's quite isolated and lonely like people on trains (as in the video) sitting alone consumed by their own situation.
