When I was 14 my 12 year old brother a Chelsea fan who was terminally ill with cancer had a wonderful trip to a Chelsea v City game. Chelsea got trounced 3-0 an Aguero hat-trick. After the game we met the players in the tunnel. John was expectional, took great time to talk with my father and brother taking pictures. My brother died 6 weeks later, four days afterwards my family received a hand written letter from John Terry and Chelsea about the experience of meeting my brother and how it impacted him. It was a class act and a superb touch. Myself and my family will always remember John Terry for this and hugely respect him as a man.

Not a Chelsea fan and not bothered about his private life but as a footballer he was absolute class. Committment, energy, leadership, tenacity and reading of the game was second to none. Great defender!

JT's underselling himself, he could ping a ball left foot or right foot, technically he was a brilliant footballer.

Terrific interview this. Always better when Simon lets the guest speak without interrupting. Always asks the hard questions and challenges the guests too.

Mourinho Hazard scenario is different to the Mourinho Inter Milan scenario namely with Eto....the man knew what was required depending on the situation. Genius manager.

Was Mount’s experience with his Dad similar but reversed to JT’s situation when his Dad didn’t want to sign the Chelsea contract? Fascinating how families influence young players! 👏🏼

As an Arsenal fan I think Simon is right 100% that John Terry needs to do more interviews etc. as there’s a prospective about him with the Wayne bridge stuff and Anto things out there that let’s be honest I completely disagree with but good to hear a good honest interview there but we need more as for me I’m still not fully convinced about him but time wil tel if only he gets the opportunity too
