I've been listening to this on repeat already
But fabulous anyways
I must say that this song really does reflect the way that life treats us
The mentioning of how "mothers milk" gives us the best start
Meaning we have everything we ever need with our parents but once we don't have that anymore life is hard
The 2nd verse tells us about our teenage years
Were spunky,looking for a fight - we can't see the bigger picture of what life is just yet
The 3rd verse tells us also about how mental health can shape the mind - obviously in this case it's defiant
But I take the reason why the song ends suddenly with the words hurricanes a metaphor for succumbing to said mental health
The chorus also tells us how life is like a single canoe race
The race to be successful in life and the fact that once you get into the race your on your own from there
