i absolutely adore daughter, if you haven't listened to their music before, i would highly highly suggest. they always use such interesting chords and tuning, and have a very very distinct style.
i apologize for the grain, my camera doesn't handle low light very well, but i wanted to film at night because whenever i think of this song, i always imagine singing it in the dark.

this conan, the one in this room with the polaroids strung behind him and the candles on the little desk that doesn't exist anymore, the one who has no idea how much 5 songs can change his life. the one who made a playlist called "singing songs" and it started with one, and now there's 32.
i want to tell this conan he survived, and i'm so glad he still exists. even if some days it feels like just that, just existing.
i want to tell him he's gonna see so many people and they're all gonna have a little light in their eye, sometimes they might just wave it back and forth in a crowd. i want to tell him it's gonna look like another galaxy, but it's gonna feel like one too. i want to tell the conan making brownies with his best friend that he's gonna do it, he's gonna make it.

I remember when he posted this, I was in love. I listened to it everyday. I remember playing it loud in my room at night while turning of the lights and lighting up candles. My sister danced a slow dance to it. It was such a good memory and I can still recall the feeling of warmth.

i have a weird obsession with repeating songs to have them as background noise when i'm doing my homework/schoolwork... this is this week's song. it's almost always something by conan, his voice is the epitome of a safe-haven for me. when i'm sad, stressed, angry, anything. it keeps me calm, collected, focused. helps me breathe.
