Reign brought me here, but I cannot describe how much this song speaks to me on a personal level. I picture the face of a man who used me every time I sing it...I loved him, but I told him I would not be his side chick, and he promised I wouldn't be, but that's exactly what he made me. And so...I hated him, I loved him...I was conflicted, just like in this song, but ultimately I stayed true to what I told him...I refused to be a side chick, and so I left.

This song came randomly to my mind today and i did check it up. 4 years ago i had 17yo and it was about the love of my life leaving me all behind. im 21yo now and it still breaks my heart when i remember him. the song brought back so much feelings. at least once in my life i knew what it means to love someone deeply. sometimes i was finding myself whispering what if he loved me back too, maybe all the story could have been different. but it s fine life goes on and time changes everything

Never heard this song until the worst possible situation.
Was as my daughter's dance recital and one dancer used this song in a solo performance. I was sitting few seats away from my soon to be ex wife of 10yrs . Not going to lie I was tearing up . Hit me so hard.

Crying while listening. It has been 5 years since our last meeting. In last 2019 I got his wedding card. In 2020 he told me about his son.
